The Thames Sailing Barge Trust is located at The Hythe, Maldon, Essex CM9 5HN
Our two barges, Pudge and Centaur are moored here for much of the year, unless they are on charter.
On arriving on the Quay, please walk to the opposite end of the Quay to that of the Queen’s Head public house and you will see a black building ‘The Bailiff’s Hut’. Our barges are moored close to this building.
Parking is not available to visitors on the Quay and although you can park on The Hythe, this is restricted to one hour from the 1st April to the end of September. There are no restrictions at other times.
The closest parking is in the Town Centre or on Promenade Park. The latter can be expensive. The closest Town Centre car park is High Street East, Edward Bright Close, CM9 5BS. (this is between Butt Lane and North Street.

Public transport
There is no direct rail service to Maldon. The nearest Network Rail stations are at Chelmsford or Witham.
