Charter a barge for your own party of 12
You can Charter Centaur for yourself and family and friends up to a maximum of 12 people. Charter rates are from £2175 for a weekend and from £940 per day midweek
You can Charter Pudge for yourself and family and friends up to a maximum of 12 people. Charter rates are from £2570 for a weekend and from £1085 per day midweek
If you book a charter before the 31st January 2026, we have held prices at 2025 levels and you can book with a deposit of £100 of booking made before 31st December 2025. Weekend Charter on Centaur £2028 and on Pudge £2460.

This is great value from only £91 per person per day (based on 12 people sailing)

Charter trips normally depart from either Maldon with occasional trips from Ipswich the North Kent/Medway. Sailing from Ipswich will incur an additional fee of £40 for “Locking out” (charge per barge)

Sailing experience is not needed for joining one of our charters

All charters are self-catering using our fully equipped galley including fridges, cookers, china & cooking utensils
Enquire about chartering a barge
The charter party booking is subject to the Trust’s Terms and Conditions. The T&Cs together with all the information about where and when to board the barge, notes on sailing safety and what to bring for the trip will be made available to the Charterer as part of the booking process.
