Introduction to the Thames Sailing Barge Trust (TSBT)
The Trust celebrated its 75th Anniversary in 2023 having been formed in 1948
The TSBT is a registered charity that exists to preserve two Thames barges in sailing condition for the benefit of the public and to pass on the skills required to sail them. Although the TSBT owns the barges they are operated by a wholly owned trading subsidiary TSBT Sailing and Charters Limited. This is a non-profit company and all sailing fees and membership subscriptions are used to maintain and restore the barges and meet their operating expenses.

Children's day August 2024
I just wanted to say thank you so much for putting it on though, our children absolutely loved it and it was so well organised! Really lovely experience for them to do in the summer holiday, thank you.

A voyage on Centaur is a trip back in time! What a priveledge to sail on such a historic vessel and even try my hand at steering. The skipper and crew are kind, knowlegeable, friendly and extremely patient. Thank you TSBT for a wonderful weekend. I'll be back.
Thank you a great family time together, bonding, fun and hearty.

We had a wonderful weekend sailing on Pudge. A privilidge to set sail in such an historic vessel. The captain and crew and hosts were the best.
Fantastic experience, stepping back in time with comfortable accommodation. A wonderful weekend in a heritage vessel.
A wonderful experience the crew were great at handling the barge with the help of others. Thank you to Penny & Don for the organising of the event. In all it was a first class experience, that will be remembered for a long time.
Sailing on Centaur as part of a small crew with the opportunity to have a 'hand's on' experience, learning how to sail the craft is an amazing chance - not to be missed. Highly recommend this trip.
Enjoyable and a good experience on the whole
As a non sailor I was made to feel completely welcome and enjoyed the whole experience. Mick Pat and Mattie were so friendly, made everyone at home. Their love for Pudge and sailing oozed. The music session on board with sea shanties was a bonus.
A unique experience highly recommended.
A totally amazing experience! Thank you.

I was unsure what to expect from the weekend but the experience exceeded all expectations! Lots of chances to learn and take an active part in sailing the beautiful barge both during the race and also the steadier cruise back on Sunday. Skipper and crew were knowledgeable, patient and beyond helpful. Huge thank you.
Take your chance to sail with the most wonderful people, peace afloat!! A dream come true
Fabulous experience and a priveledge to sail on a traditional vessel. Taking part in the Barge Match was wonderful.
