Maldon’s Local History Week – Centaur & Pudge Dunkirk Survivors

As part of Maldon’s Local History Week which has the theme of Maritime History, the Thames Sailing Barge Trust has produced a short film telling the story of Centaur and Pudge, its two Thames sailing barges and their involvement in Operation Dynamo, the evacuation of British Expeditionary Forces from the beaches of Dunkirk, this weekend 81 years ago.

The Trust would have liked to have had both barges open to the public, but this is not possible. so please sit back and enjoy this film by clicking the link below.
