Blackwater Barge Match & Sunday Re Match (Pudge)

This is a hands-on sailing trip which will start with boarding at Maldon on the Friday evening before departing early Saturday morning for the start of the race off Osea Island. After the race we will return to Maldon for the awards meal and prize giving. On Sunday we will take a sail down the Blackwater as some of the barges head for home and return to Maldon early evening.
Meals are included from Saturday morning. As a member of the crew you will be expected to help prepare meals and when possible be able to help sail the barge.

Boarding will be from 19:00 on Friday evening at Hythe Quay, Maldon
Return to Maldon on Sunday afternoon
Parking is not available on the Quay at Maldon. The nearest parking is at High Street East Car Park, Edward Bright Close, Maldon CM9 5RU operated by Maldon District Council. To park for more than 24 hours you should use RingGo Location Code 21807.
For public transport, trains operate to Chelmsford (Greater Anglia) and bus 31/331 operates to Maldon High Street from Chelmsford bus station opposite the railway station. The return bus on Sundays and Bank Holidays is the 332. For timetable click below
